Staff Pharmacist - Full Time
Coast Plaza Doctor's Hospital
Norwalk, CA

As afull time, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Coast Plaza Doctor's Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. This position will also work at Memorial Hospital of Gardena, Gardena, CA.

Schedule: This full time, nonexempt position will work 36-40 hours per week during days, evenings, and/or weekends and may occasionally include working 1 or 2 days per week at Memorial Hospital of Gardena.

About the Facility: Coast Plaza Doctor's Hospital offers 117 licensed beds and a complete in-house range of both adult and pediatric EmergencyDepartment Services. Services are provided 24 hours per day to ensure that every patient receives the appropriate care quickly and efficiently. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The pharmacy utilizes CPOE and ADC-Pyxis with Pyxis automation/software. Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-8:30pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:00am-4:30pm. Remote pharmacy services are provided overnight and after these listed pharmacy hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
  • Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communication skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • Physical
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine-Full(required)
