Our Workplace Solutions team is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to contribute to our mission of supporting and enhancing the systems and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that serve our group insurance products. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Business Systems Consultant I: $85,000 - $90,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Business Systems Consultant II: $97,000 - $103,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Business Systems Consultant III: $110,000 - $119,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Remote opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Facilitate information gathering and assess results, comparing current state with the desired future state, providing gap analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate processes and recommend improvements, including ad hoc production support and reporting.
  • Participate in developing high-level test strategies, combining manual and automated testing methods. Prioritize and approve test plans, ensuring quality and efficiency in the testing approach.
  • Build business cases for change, conducting assessments, cost/benefit analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • Lead change management, clarify approach to business owners, and gain acceptance across units. Develop comprehensive communication and training plans.
  • Guide core teams to business decisions for feature/department level changes by applying project management practices and methodologies.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, project management, or similar roles. This includes proficiency in requirement solicitation, impact assessments, test strategy, end-to-end enhancement management, and solution documentation/training.
  • Deep understanding of insurance products, particularly in group insurance and benefits administration. Knowledge of Mutual of Omaha's products and systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated strong technical acumen with expertise in API testing, utilizing tools like Postman, Swagger or qTest, and conducting data mapping activities.
  • Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, adept at comprehending both business and technical processes to effectively meet or exceed objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize and deliver tasks/projects in a dynamic environment. Possess clear communication skills, problem-solving prowess, strong learning and critical thinking skills, and the ability to envision the "Big Picture".
