This position is open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City's Collective Bargaining Agreement with AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES (AFSCME) - BARGAINING UNIT 1, 3, 4 & 5. Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

Under general supervision, the class provides employee training and development services in a department with diverse training needs; and performs related duties as required.
Essential Duties:

Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Salary: $71,004 (Non-negotiable)

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree supplemented by three years of training or teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Disclaimer - "Accredited" means any nationally or regionally accredited college, university, or law school where the applicant is enrolled in or has completed an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Juris Doctorate degree program.
SELECTION REQUIREMENT: This position requires applicants to complete an interview which will include a skills assessment exercise as part of the interview. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the oral and written parts of the interview will be selected. Bidders will be hired in seniority order according to the contract.
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the following:
Residency Requirement: All employees of the City must be actual residents of the City as outlined in 2-152-050 of the City Chicago Municipal Code. Proof of residency will be required.
