Role Overview

As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will contribute to Sirva's success by leading the day-to-day cash management and short term funding requirements of the Company's global operations, and will play a key role in the ongoing development and maintenance of the Company's global banking infrastructure covering North America, EMEA, and APAC. The Senior Treasury Analyst is also the primary backup the other Senior Treasury Analyst with responsibilities of monitoring the Treasury email inbox and supporting inquiries from operations, attending weekly AR performance meetings, managing the weekly and monthly treasury reporting as well as supporting various Tax initiatives as necessary.

The Senior Treasury Analyst will also support the Company's Corporate Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis groups as required by reporting on bank fees, assisting in gathering and analyzing data and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables and board presentation materials.

This position is open to being filled virtually in Canada. Candidate must be available to work EST banking hours.


What You'll Be Doing

Provide support for all cash management operations including but not limited to:

  • Cash & Liquidity Management (50-75%):
    • Compile, review and forecast daily cash positions and requirements of the global operations ensuring all necessary funding and payments are achieved in a timely manner
    • Preparation of Forecast vs. Actual variance analysis
    • Understand the various country banking and regulatory requirements of a global organization with bank accounts in 14 different countries and currencies around the world
    • Monitor Treasury email account and respond to day-to-day banking service requests, investigations and general queries
    • Monitor and prepare monthly bank fees report
    • Maintaining and track movement of global funds
    • Complete Monthly Transfer Pricing, Interest and other Intercompany wire payments
    • Complete and track Securitization financing settlement and monthly interest payments
    • Open and close bank accounts around the globe and maintain the signing officer records
    • Bank documentation and relationship management
    • Assist in Audit queries as required
  • Foreign Exchange Trading and Hedging
    • Convert currencies at the most effective rates to support cash & liquidity needs
  • Administration and Controls:
    • Primary online bank administrator
    • Ensure internal controls (SOX) procedures are adhered to
    • Assist in the management of banking related costs and consolidation of banking services, bank accounts and online bank administration
  • Other:
    • Work with Tax on cash repatriation initiatives from foreign entities with excess cash
    • Working with other functional areas to drive working capital management efficiencies and improvements to the forecast process

Other ad-hoc financial analysis and projects including but not limited to:

  • Assist in preparing month-end and quarter-end management reporting and analysis
  • Support process improvement projects as required
  • Participate in ongoing financing and refinancing activities as required

What You Bring to Sirva

  • University degree with a commerce, business or finance focus
  • Accounting and/or CTP designated (or near completion)
  • 3+ years of Treasury and Cash Management experience in a multinational global organization with responsibilities including, cashflow forecasting and funding foreign entities daily operating needs, preparation and approval of payments, online bank administration, opening and closing bank accounts in a global setting
  • Advanced Excel skills and general computer literacy with ability to download, sort, analyze, consolidate and make meaning out of large amounts of data in a short period of time
  • Exceptional analytical and investigation skills
  • Possesses strong Attention to Detail
  • Works well under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills are a MUST, Project Management skills are a bonus
