JOB SUMMARY

Cresco's Wholesale Planning and Advisory team is seeking an analyst to support Cresco's wholesale initiatives across the company's West region, including CA, IL, MI, and OH. Within this role, the Analyst is responsible for analyzing internal and external (e.g., BDSA, Pistil) data to develop market forecasts, internal sales projections, and improve understanding of what drives wholesale demand. The analyst will also manage SKU-level demand plans, optimize our pricing and product mix (including evaluating new product launches to respond to competition across markets. Key qualifications include being highly analytical, being comfortable with ambiguity, possessing strong attention to detail, and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills - along with the adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role will collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing leadership at both the state and corporate level, to gather and use information to develop the plans necessary to meet critical business goals. This role will mostly be remote, with opportunity for in-market visits and time in Cresco's corporate office.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Independently analyze historical sales data and market trends from various sources (e.g. state reports, internal sales, third-party syndicated data) to identify patterns and provide recommendations to improve accuracy of plans
  • Develop and execute wholesale demand planning models, annual operating plans, and demand forecasts for new product launches
  • Provide insight and expertise on demand plans and targets to ensure transparency and interpretability to an executive audience, identifying areas of opportunities, risk, and implications of certain business decisions
  • Conduct independent analysis and effectively summarize findings to provide preliminary recommendations to optimize our competitive strategy
  • Support existing initiatives through ongoing analysis of industry trends in order to provide clear, strategic, data-driven recommendations to maximize profitability, increase EBITDA, and retain top-line revenue
  • Apply problem-solving skills to support business challenges and develop forecast models in which data is either incomplete or evolving
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with department leads and fellow analysts to drive initiatives forward

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience in financial analysis, consulting, operations, strategy, or related field
  • Experience with operational and/or sales data analytics strongly preferred
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Logical approach to problem solving, analytics, planning, and the ability to flex between "big picture" understanding and a detailed analysis
  • Fluent in synthesizing large and disparate datasets to identify key implications and to then tell a story of your findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing presentation
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, conditional formatting, etc.) required; Knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, advanced analytics, financial modeling, or similar is a plus

COMPENSATION

In accordance with any local and state compensation laws, the estimated range of compensation is $70,000 - $75,000 [+ bonus eligible]. Final offer details and future compensation may be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to, geographic location, market compensation data, skills, experience and other relevant factors.
