Applications Engineer work to develop processes to enhance customer production by utilizing product analysis and demonstrations. In collaboration with sales, they will prepare and carry out marketing efforts for securing business from prospective customers. On a day-to-day basis, the Applications Engineer will analyze and develop manufacturing processes, determine best training methodologies for customers and build demonstration techniques in an effort to improve/enhance the performance of industrial machinery. They also utilize their ability to operate, program and troubleshoot full line of Mitsubishi Laser/Press brake machines, work with customers to optimize the usage of the machine and apply their particular needs and settings. Ability to independently diagnose and treat a variety of problems or situations and modify as deemed necessary.

Job operates mainly indoors, but exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. This position generally has a lot of driving and overtime work. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are required to perform this job.
