POSITION TITLE: Reimagine Youth Development Education Instructor/Tutor
LOCATION/DEPT: Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center
REPORTS to (TITLE): Education Manager
Position Ranking: TPT Non Exempt
MISSION
The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Chicago exists to express the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army through a safe, enriching and sacred environment where all individuals have access to opportunities to reach their physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. OUTCOMES
The Education Instructor must have proven skills and techniques and be able to effectively provide instruction in one or more of the areas that follow: Computers, English, Reading, Science Math, writing, GED, Vocational Training, etc. He or she will design instructional programs, and demonstrate expertise in the area they are providing instruction. As a result, students will be able to display a developing knowledge base in the subject matter being presented.

RELATIONSHIPS
This individual relates to, and interacts with, a wide range of contacts both within and outside The Salvation Army and in these contacts they act as a representative of the Army and its mission.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
This individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals.

This individual will accurately represent the mission of The RJKCCC.
This individual will keep the Education Manager informed of all critical issues relating to his/her area of responsibility.
This individual will adhere to all Army policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters and maintains positive relationships with co-workers and supervisors. This would include but not be limited to such actions: resolution of conflicts in a positive manner; courteous treatment of staff, clients, and visitors; respect of others' property and person, professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is required to do light to moderate physical work. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use equipment used in an instructional program. At times this employee is required to lift up to 40 pounds. The work environment for this position includes a classroom with a low to moderate noise level.
