Job Summary | Chicago State University (CSU) invites applications and nominations for the position of Chair and Associate or Professor, Department of Social Work. This is a full time, 12-month teaching and administrative appointment. The Chair will report to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and will oversee the entire Social Work department, which offers a Master of Social Work with a vision toward building a Bachelor's in Social Work program. CSU is seeking a dynamic leader with a passion for and a commitment to student success and faculty development to serve in this important role. Applicants should have a proven track record of social justice leadership, innovative research, effective teaching and mentorship, meaningful service, and effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Successful candidates will have demonstrated high ethical standards and are expected to operate in a transparent and collegial way. Additionally, successful candidates should be responsive to the needs of faculty, staff, and students within the Department. The successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to serve in a broad variety of roles as needed, and be dedicated to the mission of the Department, College, and University. |
