Job Summary
Under the direction of the Department of Psychiatry Chair and Adult Psychiatry Division Chief, the Adult Neuropsychologist provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychological assessment, management, and psychotherapy to patients with comorbid medical disease and behavioral problems including substance abuse. Provides neuropsychological screening, assessment, and testing including psychiatric consultations for adults and adolescents at all Cook County Health and Hospitals System (CCHHS) locations (primarily at the Stroger Hospital campus including the Fantus Health Center). Helps coordinate the department of Psychiatry Neuropsychology Service, directing neuropsychologists and clinical neuropsychology students.

This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States' territories and Canada must be credentialed by an approved U.S. credential evaluation service belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators (AICE). Must successfully meet the credentialing standards established by the Cook County Health and Hospitals System to include a State of Illinois PSY license and any other license, certification, or specialized training, etc. no later than two (2) weeks prior to the candidate's start date
