Facility Services Assistant

Assist in ensuring that the Chicago-based facilities of the ABA are well maintained in such a manner to ensure a safe, clean and efficiently functioning environment.
Schedules and assists with ongoing or special event work projects with the respective property management offices and/or through commercial vendors.
Conducts regular inspections of the housekeeping and maintenance operations within the Chicago-based facilities.
Coordinates and implements safety plans to provide protection and mitigate risk in compliance with Federal, state and municipal building and workplace laws and regulations.
Maintains asset records by utilizing appropriate software for furniture and equipment.
Establishes facilities work priorities based upon the criticality of situations and keeps customers proactively informed on the progress against their facilities maintenance requirements.
Performs other related duties as required.

 Basic Qualifications
Prior experience in facilities and / or operations.
Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D.
At least three years’ experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to fulfill work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous work experience using CAD software or other facility and security software programs.
Possession of an associate degree from an accredited college.

Physical Requirements
Work environment characterized by an ability to individually lift items weighing up to 30 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and use vision.
As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of less than 10% of the time.
